Taste of Lodi vs Sunday Sipping: Which Tour Is Right for You?
Compare Lodi Wine Trolley’s two signature public tours — three wineries and a made-to-order lunch on Saturday versus a sparkling toast, two wineries, and a relaxed Sunday pace.

Two ways to taste Lodi Wine Country
Both signature tours share the same foundation — Downtown Lodi pickup, the iconic red-and-white Wine Trolley, all-inclusive tasting flights at partner wineries, lunch on the itinerary, and a professional guide and driver so nobody in your group has to stay sober behind the wheel. The difference is pace, number of stops, and how you want to spend a weekend afternoon in Lodi.
If you want the fullest classic day, book Taste of Lodi on Saturday. If you want a shorter, more leisurely sip with a sparkling kickoff, Sunday Sipping is built for that mood. Many locals and visitors eventually try both; first-timers can choose based on schedule and group energy.
Taste of Lodi — Saturdays, three wineries, made-to-order lunch
Taste of Lodi is our flagship Saturday experience, typically running from about 11:00 am to 3:30 pm. You visit three handpicked partner wineries for guided tastings, enjoy a made-to-order lunch that complements the wine, and ride scenic country roads between stops. All-inclusive pricing is listed on the experience page (about $140.99 per person before the processing fee).
This tour is ideal for first-time visitors who want a complete introduction to Lodi Wine Country, groups celebrating a birthday or reunion, and anyone who prefers a slightly longer itinerary with more tasting variety. Guests also receive exclusive bottle discounts at participating wineries and at select Downtown Lodi restaurants after the tour — an easy way to turn the afternoon into a full weekend plan.

Sunday Sipping — sparkling toast, two wineries, easy pace
Sunday Sipping usually runs from about 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and is for guests 21 and over. You start with a sparkling wine toast, then visit two welcoming wineries for full tasting flights and enjoy a delicious deli-style lunch. All-inclusive pricing is lighter than Saturday (about $109.95 before the fee), which makes it a favorite for couples, locals rediscovering Lodi, and weekend visitors who want wine without a full half-day commitment.
Choose Sunday when your group wants conversation and scenery more than a packed itinerary, or when you already have Saturday dinner reservations downtown and prefer a later start. It is also a great “second visit” once you have done Taste of Lodi and want a different rhythm on the same Trolley.
How to choose — and how to book
Pick Taste of Lodi if you want: three winery stops, a made-to-order lunch, and the classic Saturday showcase of Lodi Wine Country. Pick Sunday Sipping if you want: a sparkling toast, two stops, a shorter window, and a more relaxed Sunday vibe. Either tour includes tastings, Trolley transportation, and Downtown Lodi pickup — no caravan of designated drivers required.
